Peacock Auto Service, a local car repair shop, commissioned me to make signs for their new business location in the Belmont area of Charlottesville.
Main Sign
The owners were going for a 50-60s vibe but simple and not too flashy. Below is an outline of my process. First, I researched design ideas, created black and white design compositions then moved on to color once the final design was selected. After this, I got all the materials to make a weather-proof sign.
Main Door: Office and After Hours Key Drop
Next, the owners asked me to paint lettering on their door to direct customers to their office and after hours key drop. I again mocked up samples for them to choose from and got to painting after the final design was selected.

Interior Directional Signage
The third phase involved creating interior directional signage. The owners wanted to use similar fonts from the main door and have the signs be conversational. After some brainstorming sessions and a few drafts of various versions of the signs, we came up with the following.
