- ROUND 1 -
I decided this would be a continuous project and would continue adding to it over time. Below is a picture of the first round of paintings - Batman, Catwoman, Ironman, Wolverine, and Hulk.
For this first round of characters, I used the original artists' illustrations. I used Ai to arrange them, then printed them out individually and traced them onto the wall.
- ROUND 2 -
In 2019 came Round 2 when I added Groot. One night, I got a creative spark and freehanded my own illustration of Groot on the wall. This was the second time I freehanded an illustration at such large scale and I think it he turned out pretty good! However, at some point, I do want to give him a little bit of a makeover and touch up his color, restyle his branch hairdo, and maybe give him some facial cosmetic surgery. Until then, he'll continue dancing and caressing Hulk's face.
I wasn't happy with my Groot and decided to replace him. I found an awesome sketch by Reddit user u/dukerot to use as a replacement. I made a grid on the wall to help me recreate this artwork and incorporate into the mural. Still in the process of finishing, final photos to come!
